While administration officials continue to disagree over whether to allow Ukraine to use US-supplied weapons to further encroach into Russian territory, Joe Biden made these remarks. The US State Department appears to be more accommodating to requests from Kiev in light of reports that Iran has sent ballistic missiles to Russia.

When questioned by reporters about his willingness to let Ukraine use US-supplied weaponry—such as the long-range ATACMS missiles—to hit targets inside Russia. "We are thinking about it right now," Biden answered.

Vladimir Putin, the president of Ukraine, has urged the US and its European allies on several occasions to permit long-range missiles to pierce deeply into Russian territory.
