Zelensky asserts that the war between Russia and Ukraine is nearing its end.

Reuters, WASHINGTON - According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, his nation is close to ending its conflict with Russia, and he has urged the US and other allies to keep helping Ukraine. This is in line with a Reuters press release.

On Monday, September 23, Zelensky made the comments during an interview with ABC News. "I believe that the peace we are envisioning is drawing nearer," Zelensky declared. "The end of the war is drawing near." The Ukrainian president asked Washington and other allies to keep helping Kiev in that interview.

Zelensky has previously stated that only a strong position will persuade Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the conflict and that Russia must remove all of its troops from Ukraine and redraw the post-border line. The Soviet Union fell apart. Putin stated that only if Ukraine gave up its goal of joining NATO and agreed to cede most of its eastern and southern regions to Russia would peace negotiations be possible.

Zelensky is currently in the country to attend the UN General Assembly and to present Joe Biden and the two presidential contenders with a war plan that he himself refers to as the "Victory Plan." Donald Trump and Kamala Harris.
