Wednesday, Zelensky will visit Warsaw: Polish presidency



WARSCHAU, 3 APR (AFP) - Wednesday will be one of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's few excursions outside of his country, which is fighting a Russian invasion, according to Poland.

Poland, a NATO member and neighbor, is a crucial ally in Kyiv's defense efforts and has taken in many Ukrainians escaping the conflict.

The head of the international policy office, Marcin Przydacz, noted that Zelensky would also meet Ukrainians living in Poland and said, "This is a formal visit but there will also be an element of a public nature."

Zelensky will have a meeting with Andrzej Duda, his Polish counterpart, while in Poland.
