Reuters, Washington After the North Korean leader ordered an increase in the production of bomb material to boost the country's nuclear arsenal, a U.S. think group claimed on Saturday that satellite photographs of the country's primary nuclear site show a high level of activity.
The Experimental Light Water Reactor (ELWR) at the Yongbyon complex may be close to completion and moving into operational condition, according to the 38 North North Korea monitoring group, which is based in Washington.
According to the report, the photos demonstrated that a 5 megawatt reactor at Yongbyon was still in operation and that work on a support structure had begun.
