Ford is getting ready to convert a 70-year-old facility into an electric vehicle assembly plant.




In order to fulfill its commitment to produce electric vehicles, Ford Motor Co. wants to modernize its 70-year-old Sport car manufacturing factory in Oakille, Ontario, Canada. 2020 contract discussions for the Unifor union in Canada. Ford intends to start the Oakville plant's renovations in the second quarter of 2024.
