US President Biden Congratulates Herzog Elected as New President of Israel

WASHINGTON, June 2 (Sputnik) – US President Joe Biden has saluted Isaac Herzog on his political race as the new leader of Israel. 

On Wednesday, Herzog, the top of the not-for-profit Jewish Agency for Israel, was chosen as the eleventh leader of the Jewish state. 

"In the interest of individuals of the United States, I stretch out my warm congrats to Isaac Herzog on his political race to fill in as the eleventh President of the State of Israel. All through his profession, President-elect Herzog has exhibited his steadfast obligation to fortifying Israel's security, propelling discourse, and building spans across the worldwide Jewish people group," Biden said late Wednesday, cited by the White House. 

Biden communicated certainty that under the Herzog, the association between the United States and Israel will promote "develop and extend." 

The US chief added he was anticipating an encounter with active Israeli President Reuven Rivlin to respect the last's devotion to the "suffering organization and the dear kinship" between the two nations.
