The European Championship has been set up since 1960 and just two public groups have won similar prize multiple times.




PARIS (Reuters) - The UEFA Euro is perhaps the greatest prize in Europe, framed from 1960 to 2020, at regular intervals with just two public groups. The three-time victors are Germany and Spain, while Portugal are the reigning champs in 2016. 


Euro 2020 has been deferred to 2021 due to the worldwide COVID-19 infection emergency, while a similar three-time champ remembers Germany for a year ago's conclusive. In 1972 they crushed the previous Soviet Union (Russia) and in 1980 they proceeded to beat Belgium lastly in 1996 they crushed the Czech Republic 2-1. 


Spain additionally did likewise multiple times, in 1964 Spain crushed the Soviet Union (Russia), in 2008 they crushed Germany, and in 2012 they crushed Italy 4-0. France likewise won the title twice in 1998 and 2000, the most in Europe. 


Previous UEFA Euro champs were the Soviet Union (Russia) in the mid 1960s, Italy in 1968, the Czech Republic in 1976, the Netherlands in 1988, Denmark in 1992 and Greece in 2004. Lastly Portugal 2016. 


Euro 2021 will be held from June 11 to July 11, with 24 groups taking an interest.
